Age Eligibility and Acceptance of Terms
NurseKin is available only to individuals who are 18 years of age or older.
By creating an account, checking the required agreement box, accessing, or using NurseKin, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, the NurseKin Community Guidelines, and any policies expressly incorporated into these Terms. You also acknowledge that you have read the NurseKin Privacy Policy and agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
NurseKin is a privately operated professional platform owned and operated by Nurse Lada, LLC.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not create an account or use NurseKin.
Account Eligibility and Responsibilities
Users are responsible for ensuring that all submitted information is accurate, current, and truthful.
NurseKin reserves the right to suspend, restrict, deny verification, or remove accounts, content, or access to the platform at its sole discretion.
Users may not impersonate another individual, falsify credentials, misrepresent licensure, or submit fraudulent information.
NurseKin may remove content determined to be harmful, misleading, unlawful, harassing, discriminatory, or disruptive to the professional environment of the platform.
Account Security
Each NurseKin account is personal to the registered member.
You may not share, transfer, sell, lend, or allow another person to use your password, verification code, authentication link, or other login credentials.
You may not access, attempt to access, or use another member's account, even if that member voluntarily provided their credentials.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must promptly notify NurseKin at support@nursekin.com if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization or your credentials have been compromised.
NurseKin may terminate active sessions, require a password reset, restrict access, suspend, or permanently remove an account when login credentials are shared or another member's account is accessed or used without authorization.
NurseKin will never ask you to provide your account password by email, direct message, or community post.
You may not sell, transfer, share, or permit another person to use your NurseKin account.
One Account per Person
Unless NurseKin gives prior written authorization, each person may maintain only one personal NurseKin account. A person whose account has been permanently removed may not create, operate, or access another account without NurseKin's written permission.
Automated Access and Platform Integrity
You may not, and may not assist or permit anyone else to:
- Scrape or bulk-collect profiles, posts, or member information.
- Use bots, crawlers, scripts, browser extensions, or other automated means to scrape, copy, collect, or extract NurseKin content or data, except with NurseKin's prior written authorization.
- Reverse engineer NurseKin or attempt to obtain its source code.
- Probe or test NurseKin for security vulnerabilities without NurseKin's authorization.
- Introduce malware or other harmful code.
- Overload, disrupt, or interfere with NurseKin or its systems.
- Circumvent access controls, rate limits, or verification requirements.
- Systematically collect or use NurseKin content or data to create, train, improve, or maintain a competing database, artificial-intelligence model, product, or service.
Verification Policy
Verification supports platform trust, reduces impersonation, and helps maintain a professional environment.
NurseKin may request limited information reasonably necessary to confirm a member's eligibility, identity, professional credentials, or nursing-student status. This may include a professional license number, NPI number, nursing-program information, acceptance or enrollment documentation, or other relevant professional information.
Before uploading a verification document, cover, crop, or blur all information that NurseKin does not need to complete the verification. Leave visible only the information NurseKin specifically requests.
Do not upload unnecessary sensitive information, including:
- Social Security numbers
- Dates of birth
- Home or mailing addresses
- Telephone numbers
- Student or employee identification numbers
- Driver's license, passport, or other government identification numbers
- Bank, credit card, tax, salary, tuition, or financial-aid information
- Signatures
- Passwords, authentication codes, or security answers
- QR codes, barcodes, or document-identification numbers not required for verification
- Medical information
- Patient information or protected health information
- Sensitive information belonging to another person
NurseKin will never request your password, authentication code, Social Security number, bank or credit card information, or patient information for member verification.
Verification status indicates that submitted information reasonably matched available records at the time of review.
Verification does not constitute endorsement, recommendation, employment verification, credentialing, or validation of competency.
NurseKin reserves the right to deny, revoke, or remove verification status at any time.
NurseKin may deny, revoke, or remove verification status when information is incomplete, inaccurate, expired, misleading, or inconsistent with platform eligibility requirements.
What Should Remain Visible
For a nursing-program acceptance or enrollment document, NurseKin generally needs only:
- The member's name
- The school's name
- The nursing program
- Acceptance or active-enrollment status
- A relevant date, when needed to confirm current status
Everything else should be covered when it is not required.
NurseKin does not request or accept a driver's license, passport, Social Security card, financial statement, medical record, or patient document for routine member verification.
Truthful Eligibility and Credential Information
Eligibility for NurseKin depends on truthful identity, educational, and professional information.
Knowingly falsifying your age, identity, student status, school acceptance or enrollment, NPI ownership, nursing license, education, or professional credentials means that you are not eligible for NurseKin membership and will result in account denial or permanent removal.
This strict consequence applies to intentional misrepresentation. It does not apply to an obvious good-faith error that is promptly corrected and does not involve impersonation or fraud.
NPI Attestation
By entering an NPI number, you certify that the NPI belongs to you and accurately represents your professional identity. You may not use another person's NPI, impersonate another clinician, or misrepresent your credentials.
Knowingly submitting an NPI that does not belong to you will result in account denial or permanent removal from NurseKin and may be reported when appropriate.
Student Attestation
By submitting student verification information, you certify that you are currently enrolled in or have been accepted into an accredited nursing education program matching the role selected on your NurseKin profile.
Knowingly misrepresenting your student status, school acceptance, enrollment, or nursing education program will result in account denial or permanent removal from NurseKin.
Age Attestation
By confirming that you are 18 years of age or older, you certify that the information is truthful. A person who misrepresents their age is not eligible for NurseKin membership, and the account will be removed.
Professional Conduct
NurseKin is a professional community of nurses and healthcare professionals. Users are expected to behave with the same professionalism they would maintain in clinical or academic settings.
Discriminatory, hostile, retaliatory, disrespectful, unsafe, disruptive, or otherwise unprofessional conduct - including a single serious incident - may result in account restriction or removal.
Members may not post, send, or disclose information they do not have the right or authorization to share, including confidential or proprietary information belonging to an employer, school, healthcare organization, colleague, patient, or other third party.
These standards apply everywhere on NurseKin, including private messages and Kin Connection requests.
HIPAA & Patient Privacy
Users may not share protected health information (PHI) or violate HIPAA or other patient privacy laws.
NurseKin is not an electronic health record, clinical documentation system, patient portal, or patient-care communication service. Members may not use NurseKin to document patient care or transmit, store, or exchange protected health information. This includes private messages: do not send protected health information to another member, even privately.
This includes, but is not limited to: patient names, dates of birth, medical record numbers, photographs of patients or identifiable scenarios, and detailed clinical narratives where the patient could reasonably be identified.
Even de-identified discussion should avoid combinations of details that could re-identify a patient. When in doubt, generalize.
NurseKin may immediately remove content that risks identifying any patient, and accounts that repeatedly post PHI may be permanently removed.
Copyright & Intellectual Property
Users may only upload content they own or have permission to share.
NurseKin reserves the right to remove allegedly infringing content.
Repeat copyright violations may result in suspension or permanent removal from the platform.
This includes textbook pages, paid review content, PDFs, screenshots from proprietary courses, and copyrighted media.
Users retain ownership of their submitted content but grant NurseKin a limited license to display and distribute such content within the platform, as described in User Content below.
Copyright Complaints
NurseKin respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects members to do the same.
If you believe content on NurseKin infringes a copyright you own or are authorized to enforce, email contact@nursekin.com with the subject line "Copyright Complaint." To help NurseKin review your complaint, include:
- Your name and contact information.
- Identification of the copyrighted work.
- A link to, or a description sufficient to locate, the content you believe infringes it.
- A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in your complaint is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
NurseKin may remove or restrict access to content that is the subject of a copyright complaint.
If your content was removed because of a copyright complaint and you believe that was a mistake, email contact@nursekin.com to ask NurseKin to review the removal.
NurseKin Platform Ownership
Nurse Lada, LLC owns or licenses NurseKin and its related intellectual property, including:
- The NurseKin name and branding
- Logos and visual design
- Website and application software
- Original written content, layouts, features, and functionality created by or for NurseKin
Subject to these Terms, you receive a limited, revocable, nonexclusive, nontransferable right to access and use NurseKin as permitted by these Terms. No other rights in NurseKin are granted to you.
This section does not affect your ownership of content you create and share on NurseKin, which is described under User Content below.
User Content
You are responsible for content you post or send on NurseKin, including private messages.
Content you post may be visible to other NurseKin members depending on the feature used, your community memberships, your profile settings, and the visibility options available when you post. A private message is delivered to the member you send it to. Do not post or send information you do not want other members to view, copy, or share.
You agree not to post or send content that is unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
NurseKin may remove content at any time, with or without notice, that is determined to violate these Terms.
NurseKin is not obligated to monitor every post, message, profile, listing, link, or user interaction and does not guarantee that all objectionable or inaccurate content will be identified or removed.
NurseKin may review, restrict, preserve, disclose, or remove content when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect users or the public, comply with legal obligations, investigate suspected misconduct, or maintain platform security and integrity.
Your Content Belongs to You
You retain ownership of the intellectual property rights in original content you create and share on NurseKin. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of your content to NurseKin. You remain free to use or share your content elsewhere.
You are responsible for ensuring that you own your content or have the necessary permission to post it.
Permission to Operate NurseKin
When you post, upload, or send content protected by intellectual property rights, you grant Nurse Lada, LLC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, technically format, display, and distribute that content through NurseKin, consistent with your selected visibility settings. For a private message, that means delivering it only to the member you send it to, keeping a copy if a participant reports it, and making it available to authorized NurseKin personnel only as described in Member Safety and Communications.
This permission may be used only as reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, secure, and improve NurseKin. It also permits service providers working on NurseKin's behalf to process the content solely for those purposes.
NurseKin may make technical changes needed to display content properly, such as resizing, compressing, or reformatting a photograph. This permission does not authorize NurseKin to materially change the meaning of a member's content.
No Advertising or Promotional Use Without Permission
NurseKin will not use a member's name, photograph, credentials, activity, testimonial, or content in advertising, sponsored content, endorsements, or external promotional materials without that member's separate express permission.
The content license does not authorize NurseKin to sell member content, including private messages, or to use member content to train third-party artificial intelligence models without separate express permission.
Deleting Content
Members may delete individual content using the available controls. Individual private messages cannot currently be deleted; permanently deleting either participant's account deletes the conversation for both members.
Members may deactivate their accounts through Settings. To permanently delete an account, a member emails support@nursekin.com from the email address on the account; the Contact Support button under Settings, Account Management, opens that email. NurseKin verifies the request, and an administrator schedules the deletion: the account is deactivated, sign-in is blocked, and permanent deletion is scheduled for 30 days later. NurseKin emails the member the scheduled date.
To cancel, the member emails support@nursekin.com from the account's email address before the scheduled date. NurseKin then cancels the deletion and returns the account to how it was before the request. If the deletion is not cancelled, it is processed automatically after the 30-day period unless a legal, safety, or other hold applies. NurseKin may retain limited records as required or permitted by law.
When content is deleted, it should no longer be visible through the active NurseKin service. NurseKin's license ends when the content has been fully deleted from its systems.
Limited copies may be retained only for as long as reasonably necessary in backups or to:
- Comply with a legal obligation or lawful government request.
- Investigate fraud, illegal activity, or violations of NurseKin's policies.
- Protect the safety, integrity, and security of NurseKin and its members.
- Preserve evidence or resolve a dispute, including reported messages, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Community Guidelines
Users are expected to engage respectfully and professionally.
Harassment, intimidation, hate speech, bullying, discrimination, or abusive conduct are prohibited.
Spam, scams, misinformation, solicitation abuse, MLM recruiting, or repeated disruptive conduct may result in account restrictions or removal.
These guidelines apply to private messages and Kin Connection requests as well as to posts, comments and other member-visible content. Do not send unsolicited promotional or recruiting messages, keep messaging or sending connection requests to someone who has declined, or use messages to ask for account credentials, patient information, or other sensitive information. Report messages honestly; do not misuse reporting.
Educational content shared by members reflects individual opinion and experience and does not constitute clinical, legal, or medical advice.
Member Safety and Communications
NurseKin is an online professional community. NurseKin does not recommend or facilitate in-person meetings between members.
NurseKin does not personally know its members and cannot guarantee any member's identity, intentions, conduct, safety, or suitability. Reviewing an account, license, NPI, school document, or other credential does not constitute a personal endorsement or guarantee of that member.
NurseKin does not recommend exchanging personal contact information or sensitive information with members you do not personally know. This includes home addresses, personal phone numbers, personal email addresses, precise locations, work schedules, travel plans, financial information, government identification numbers, and account credentials.
Members are encouraged to keep communications within NurseKin when using NurseKin services and to promptly report suspicious, threatening, harassing, or unsafe conduct. If someone is in immediate danger, they should contact 911 or the appropriate local emergency service.
Messages and Kin Connections. Eligible members may send one-to-one text messages and request Kin Connections with each other. A member who is not a Kin Connection may send one introductory message request, and no further messages until the recipient accepts. Members may decline requests, remove connections, block other members, and report individual messages. Blocking prevents new messages and connection requests between both members. NurseKin does not notify members when you block them, although they may infer this from changes in available features. NurseKin applies usage limits to help prevent spam, abuse, and misuse of messaging, connection requests, and reporting features.
Messages are not displayed to members outside the conversation. Authorized NurseKin personnel may access relevant messages when reasonably necessary to investigate reports or suspected misconduct, protect members or platform security, enforce our Terms and Community Guidelines, or comply with legal obligations. Such access is restricted to authorized personnel for these purposes. When a participant reports a message, authorized moderators review a stored copy of that message, the report reason, and any accompanying note, and may review relevant conversation context. NurseKin may act on the report under these Terms and the Community Guidelines. Messages are stored on NurseKin's systems and are not end-to-end encrypted; the Privacy Policy explains how they are stored, accessed, and retained.
The rules in these Terms apply to private messages, including Professional Conduct, HIPAA & Patient Privacy, confidentiality obligations, and Account Security. Never send or ask for passwords, verification codes, or other login credentials in a message.
NurseKin does not control what members say or do, on or off the platform, including in private messages. To the fullest extent permitted by law, and as further described in Limitation of Liability, NurseKin does not guarantee and is not responsible for any member's conduct or another member's personal safety.
Medical & Educational Disclaimer
Content shared on NurseKin is intended for educational, informational, networking, and professional discussion purposes only.
NurseKin does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or emergency services.
Participation on the platform does not create a provider-patient relationship.
NurseKin content is not a substitute for independent professional judgment. Licensed healthcare professionals are responsible for evaluating and verifying information before applying it to patient care and for following current authoritative clinical guidance, their scope of practice, applicable laws and standards of care, and employer policies and protocols.
Clinical decisions remain the sole responsibility of the licensed healthcare professional providing care.
If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or your local emergency services immediately.
Professional and Licensure Disclaimer
NurseKin does not provide professional credentialing, employment clearance, continuing education credit, legal advice, or licensure advice unless expressly stated for a particular service.
Users remain responsible for maintaining their licenses, certifications, continuing education requirements, professional insurance, scope-of-practice compliance, and adherence to applicable employer policies, board requirements, and laws.
Information displayed on a profile or obtained through NurseKin should not be relied upon as a substitute for primary-source verification when formal credentialing, employment, clinical privileges, or regulatory compliance is required.
Educational and Exam-Preparation Disclaimer
NurseKin may provide educational materials, practice questions, study tools, and community discussions related to nursing-program entrance examinations, licensure examinations, board-certification examinations, and other professional assessments.
These resources are provided for general educational and exam-preparation purposes only. They are not comprehensive, do not replace official test plans, candidate bulletins, program requirements, accredited instruction, or other appropriate preparation, and do not guarantee admission to a nursing program, eligibility to take an examination, a passing score, certification, or licensure.
Examination content, eligibility standards, and program requirements may change. Users are responsible for consulting the applicable school, testing organization, certifying body, or licensing authority and reviewing its current official requirements and materials.
Unless expressly stated, NurseKin is not affiliated with or endorsed by any school, testing organization, certifying body, or licensing authority.
Employment, Scholarships, and Other Opportunities
NurseKin may display employment opportunities, scholarships, educational funding, mentorship opportunities, and other information provided by third parties.
The presence of an opportunity on NurseKin does not mean that NurseKin endorses or guarantees the organization, listing, accuracy, legitimacy, availability, eligibility requirements, deadline, compensation, or outcome.
Before applying or providing information, users are responsible for independently confirming the opportunity and the organization through reliable official sources.
NurseKin does not recommend sending money, banking details, Social Security numbers, government identification, account credentials, or other sensitive information unless the user has independently verified the recipient and confirmed that the information is legitimately required.
Users should report suspicious, inaccurate, expired, unavailable, or misleading listings. NurseKin may investigate, correct, restrict, or remove reported listings but cannot guarantee that every inaccurate or fraudulent listing will be identified before a user encounters it.
Unless NurseKin expressly states otherwise, NurseKin is not the employer, school, scholarship provider, sponsor, recruiter, or decision-maker associated with a third-party opportunity.
Third-Party Websites and Services
NurseKin may contain links to websites, applications, services, job portals, scholarship portals, educational institutions, employers, and other resources operated by third parties.
NurseKin does not control and is not responsible for third-party content, availability, security, privacy practices, terms, products, services, or transactions. A link does not constitute NurseKin's endorsement of the third party.
Users access third-party websites and services at their own discretion and should review the applicable terms and privacy policies before providing information or completing a transaction.
Account Suspension & Removal
NurseKin may suspend, restrict, or permanently remove user accounts that violate these Terms, the Community Guidelines, or any applicable law.
Reasons for account removal include but are not limited to:
- Credential misrepresentation, harassment, sharing patient identifying information, copyright violations, fraud, impersonation, or behavior that disrupts the professional integrity of the platform.
- Sharing account credentials or permitting another person to use your account.
- Accessing or attempting to access another member's account.
- Attempting to bypass account security, verification, or access restrictions.
- Using another person's account to impersonate that member or misrepresent your identity.
- Misusing messaging, connection requests, or reporting, such as sending spam, unsolicited promotion, or repeated unwanted messages.
Users may also deactivate their own account at any time through Settings, or request permanent deletion by emailing support@nursekin.com, as described under Deleting Content. NurseKin may retain limited records as required or permitted by law.
Platform Availability and Changes
NurseKin may modify, suspend, discontinue, restrict, or remove any feature, content category, service, or portion of the platform at any time.
NurseKin does not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or continuously available access. Maintenance, security incidents, technical failures, third-party service interruptions, or circumstances outside NurseKin's control may affect availability.
NurseKin is not responsible for a user's failure to receive a communication, meet an outside deadline, apply for an opportunity, preserve content, or complete an action because of platform downtime, delayed information, notification settings, email delivery issues, or third-party service interruptions.
Limitation of Liability
NurseKin is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nurse Lada, LLC disclaims all express and implied warranties, including warranties of accuracy, reliability, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, and any warranties arising from course of dealing or usage of trade.
NurseKin does not warrant that the platform, its content, user content (including messages), recommendations, listings, links, notifications, search results, or third-party information will be accurate, complete, secure, current, uninterrupted, or error-free.
Nurse Lada, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of NurseKin.
You are solely responsible for clinical, professional, and personal decisions you make based on content you encounter on the platform.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Responsibility for Third-Party Claims - Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Nurse Lada, LLC and its officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates from third-party claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable legal costs arising from:
- Content you submitted without the necessary ownership or permission.
- Your intentional misuse of NurseKin, fraud, or impersonation.
- Your infringement of another person's rights.
- Your violation of applicable law or these Terms.
This means that if your unlawful conduct, intentional misuse, or unauthorized content causes a third party to bring a claim against Nurse Lada, LLC, you may be responsible for the resulting losses and reasonable legal costs.
This obligation does not apply to the extent that a claim was caused by Nurse Lada, LLC's own negligence, willful misconduct, or violation of law.
Account Communications
NurseKin may send service-related communications needed to administer, secure, and support your account. These may include email confirmations, verification and account-status notices, security or safety alerts, support communications, and notices of material changes to the Terms of Service or Privacy Policy.
Service-related communications may also include moderation or legal notices and notices of material changes to NurseKin's services.
You are responsible for keeping the email address associated with your account current so that you can receive these communications.
Changes to These Terms
NurseKin may update these Terms periodically to reflect platform changes, legal requirements, safety needs, or business practices.
The "Last updated" date will identify the most recent revision. When required by law or when a change is material, NurseKin may provide additional notice through the platform or by email.
Continued use of NurseKin after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, except where applicable law requires another form of consent.
Other Legal Terms
If a court finds that one part of these Terms cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.
If NurseKin does not enforce a provision immediately, that does not mean NurseKin has waived the right to enforce it later.
These Terms, together with the policies referenced in them, form the agreement between the user and Nurse Lada, LLC regarding use of NurseKin.
Users may not transfer their accounts or account access to another person.
No partnership, employment, agency, or joint venture is created between you and NurseKin or Nurse Lada, LLC by these Terms or by your use of NurseKin.
Provisions of these Terms concerning ownership, content licenses, limitation of liability, indemnification, and disputes survive the termination of your account or of these Terms where their nature requires.
Nurse Lada, LLC may assign these Terms as part of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or other business transfer.
If you voluntarily share ideas, suggestions, or feedback about NurseKin, NurseKin may use them without any obligation to compensate you.
